This is the interior designer images of the newly proposed room addition within the vaulted ceiling space over the living room and entryway. The amount of wasted space overhead was quite significant in this Glendale AZ remodel. Some additional remodeling was done on the second floor to accommodate adding a new laundry closet above as well. The new room addition within the existing walls of the home meant that no roofing was needed and no real additional heavy load for the existing foundation. Most certainly the new room adds what is known as dead load, but the foundation of this two-story home was already built for this addition. Our engineers know exactly how to span from one existing footing to the next and avoid having to add more pad footings or any new concrete.
